The word ‘Coble’ defines a type of fishing boat and the East Coast town of Filey and its Coble Boats have long been an inspiration for my work.

This 30” x 30” varnished acrylic on block canvas painting ‘Beached’ is ‘Beth’ a fishing boat often seen on the Coble Landing.
