Higgs and Cowern
Raymond's wood engravings use the 'cut and come again' or Reduction Method of making prints, where the edition is made finite by the recutting of the same block to produce the second and subsequent colours. Alternative names are 'waste block' or 'suicide' printing. In this little used method of printing the size of the edition is more strictly limited than other techniques as the block is progressively destroyed. All prints are in editions of 20-140.
