Liz Salter's paintings explore aspects of landscape with inspiration coming from walking the land and exploring wild, rough places in all weathers. She records these experiences in sketchbooks. In the studio the work develops into a visual equivalent for the experiences of being in the landscape. She works with paint, ink, pastels, graphite and collage on paper. She exhibits in Britain and Ireland and in 2012 was awarded 'South Yorkshire Artist of the Year'.
